Propane Tankless Water Heaters
Tankless water heaters bring a new level of efficiency to your home by eliminating stand-by losses — the energy to maintain temperature in the tank. Unlike traditional water heaters, tankless water heaters don't heat and store water for later use. Instead they heat on demand by super-heating the water in a coil that passes through propane burners and into the hot-water plumbing. Their life expectancy is more than 20 years compared to storage tank water heaters that typically last 10 to 15 years and are so labor-intensive to replace.
Tankless water heaters can fit on a wall in a supply closet or elsewhere and can take up to 93% less space than a 50-gallon water heater. This could be a factor in your decision if you are looking to conserve space in a garage, laundry room or basement.
