Supply & Logistics Manager

Location : Rochester, NH

The Liquid Supply & Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating activities related to sourcing and logistics of liquid product.  This role will oversee all of our day-to-day operations as it relates to liquid supply and, inventory accounting and will lead members of the supply team. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and have a background in business, finance, and/or liquid supply.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with internal and external contacts to ensure that adequate liquid product is available at all locations to meet the needs of our customers
  • Assess current operation procedures and develop new processes where needed
  • Make recommendations to improve supply efficiency and resources
  • Create liquid supply management strategies that increase efficiency
  • Communicate, network, and negotiate with external product suppliers and transportation companies
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close any operational gaps
  • Build relationship within the company and with external partners, including suppliers, distributors, and vendors
  • Inventory accounting and monthly reconciliation
  • Process day-to-day work and back up others within the department
  • Learn and perform all duties within the Supply Department to provide coverage across the team
  • Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity
  • Management of Supply team members including coaching and mentoring employees in the performance of daily duties provide support to ensure job results meet expectations; provide ongoing feedback and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Teach, promote, and reinforce Department of Transportation regulations/requirements and Eastern safety guidelines and protocols; conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Promptly follow up after accidents and injuries and adhere to Eastern’s Incident SOPs
  • Some travel required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Superior analytical and computer skills
  • Able to create strategies using data analysis
  • Ability to manage logistics and planning
  • Read and comprehend legal documents, such as supply contracts or agreements
  • Understand principles of accounting and finance
  • Experience with ERP programs (Oracle JDE a plus)
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Exhibits ability to think creatively
  • Ability to lead, train, and mentor employees
  • Proven people skills; must be able to work with internal and external customers and suppliers while effectively handling internal demands
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Manage time efficiently; prioritizes and plans work
  • Highly effective communication skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills, including vlookup, pivot tables, charts, etc.
