We’ve learned recently that there is an uptick in scammer activity involving bad actors fraudulently posing as Eastern representatives and seeking immediate payment.

Please remember:
• Eastern representatives may contact customers regarding past due accounts by phone or email. You will not be texted by Eastern for collections purposes.
• If you are contacted with a request for payment and are unsure of its legitimacy, do not provide payment information.
• Be cautious of any demands for immediate payment or threats of urgent service interruption.
• Scammers may spoof phone numbers to appear legitimate.

If you are suspicious of any communication:
• Do not share personal or payment information.
• Hang up or discontinue communication immediately.
• Contact us using the phone number on your bill or at eastern.com to verify the request.
